Given the versatile nature of the Glute Band, recommending a single size is difficult as it depends on what you’re using it for. If your training is quite dynamic, you may require more than one size or strength deniers. Your quad size and training experience will also come into play.
Generally speaking, for movements with a narrow stance a smaller size will suit best. For wider stances (such as sumo or lunges) a bigger size will suit better.
As a general rule of thumb;
- Female lifters will suit the S and M size bands. Use the body weight mentioned in the size chart to determine which to pick.
- Male lifters will suit the M and L size bands. Use the body weight mentioned in the size chart to determine which to pick.
Our Glute Bands come in 3 Elasticity Grade deniers. The range starts at the most elasticated, through to the stiffest fabric. Stiffer does not necessarily mean better. It depends on the application.
Flexx: Stretchy and durable fabric. Suitable for light warmups
Bolster: Suitable for lower body activation and warm ups, as well as novice-intermediate lifters.
Ironclad: Suitable for providing additional resistance for building muscle and to enhance technique and overall lifting form. Recommended for intermediate-advanced lifters.
If purchasing a bundle pack, you will receive three individual bands, in the same size, with all three elasticity grades (Flexx, Bolster and Ironclad) to cover various exercises, rep ranges and training experience levels.
